Software

Evaluation per PC

The evaluation of a coefficient of friction µ measurement is done with the RK-WIN software . This software has been specially developed for the requirements of the friction factor and stick-slip measurements. It offers the graphical representation of the measurement sequence, a measuring report and lots more. An A/D converter card is also provided with the software package for installing in the PC.

Tensometric Win friction value measurement software RK-WIN

The friction value measurement software RK -WIN is used for the precise measurement of the coefficient of friction µ. It is adapted to our tried and tested frictionmeter RK and replaces the friction value measurement program RK PC 9400.

The software now uses the features of the Windows operating system, such as the clipboard, use of any printer, and simple operation using a mouse.

Naturally, settings and projects, i.e. set scales andlabels, can be saved, activated and managed. In addition, the measurement screens may besaved in BMP format. The evaluation of the measurement can be seendirectly in a continuously updated result block. The measuring log is automatically copied to the clipboard. It can then easily be inserted in your word processing software. Apart from the time driven measurement, which determines the friction coefficient µ at a pre - set measuring time, another interesting measuring option has been added: the result driven measurement (automatic mode).
In this mode the measurement does not finish until the friction coefficient µ approaches a limiting value. The tolerance of the limiting value can be preset. The duration of the measuring process is therefore not predetermined at the start, but is rather dependent on the desired accuracy of the experimental result.

Software RK-LD-WIN

The software RK-LD-WIN is an efficient measuring program for calculating the friction coefficient µd. It is adjusted for Tensometric Frictionmeter RK-LD.

In clearly arranged screen and print graphics the measurements are represented and printed for record. Furthermore the measurement reading is provided both as an ASCII file and a Bitmap file. At the push of a button the measurement is started and a predefined number of samples will be gathered during a predefined period.

Apart from the friction coefficient µd and also the MIN/MAX value and standard deviation are calculated as result of a measurement. Measuring configurations specific to material (projects) can be recorded and activated at a later date.

4-Channel recorder
4-Kanal Rekorder

The software RECORDER 4 channel is an efficient measuring and analysis programme for tensile force measuring. It can be installed in a PC or in a notebook and communicates by the USB port of the computer with the Tensometric Sensor junction box “USB-Port-4CH”. Grid lines and printable diagrams are represented in a clearly laid out line recorder.

Storage: Particularly advantageous is the reconstruction of recorded measurements of the hard disk. These can be reproduced, started and analysed with other parameters. Storage in ASCII format.

Measuring range: The measuring range depends from the connected sensor. Tensometric sensors with integrated measuring amplifier and operating voltage 24 V can be connected.

Calibration: A sensor calibration can be made with the software.

Time gauging: The line recorder can be gauged from a few seconds up to 22 minutes.

Force gauging: Easy adjustment of the tensile force range by slider.

Clipboard: The tensile force process as represented in the line recorder can be copied and pasted as a graphic in other application programmes.

Print out: The tensile force process can be printed out.

Gauging: The tensile force process can be gauged by cursor lines which can be activated. The result of a measurement is represented by numbers and can be stored.

Zoom: Sections of the tensile force process can be spread for more precise analysis.

Marking: Special incidents during the tensile force process can be marked by words.

Comparing tensile forces with IMP-TENS measuring system

The IMP-TENS system is a mobile measuring and analysis programme to compare
tensile forces of threads or wires in rotating systems.

A new type of measuring method enables first time measuring and monitoring tensile
forces of all threads / wires in braiding and stranding machines by using only one sensor.

Tensile force of every single thread or wire is measured and
displayed during a machine rotation.

The easy installation effects short backfitting time.
The system is working computer-aided.

So the quality of stranding is assured by monitoring the constant tensile
forces of all wires.

Measurements are clearly represented on visual display unit.
Measuring data are available as numerical value and graphical representation.

Principle of tensile force
measuring with IMP-TENS system

The tensile force measurement is based on defined deflection of material to be measured from the straight running direction.
The force which is applied to this deflection is being measured. In order to determine the tensile force of the material, the angle of deflection must be known.

This principle is generally called “3 roller system". It is the basis of many tensile forces measuring systems.
According to this method it is possible to measure the tensile forces of wires of a rotating stranding machine by a stationary fixed sensor which is located outside.By rotation of the machine every wire will arrive at the sensor which is slightly deflecting the wire from its straight direction. For a precise measurement a deflection of about 5° will be sufficient, which is equivalent to a wrap angle around the sensor of 10°.

When a wire is reaching the sensor it runs up on a ramp to the measuring peak. At the top level of the ramp which is the measuring skid there is a defined wrap angle existing. The force on the measuring head is reaching here the maximum. The connected analysis device identifies this force pulse as measured value.

The mechanical load of the wires during this process is very small. Furthermore the time of contact by the sensor is very short (in the region of milliseconds), so all possibility of wire damages is nearly excluded. Contactless operating proximity switches register the
machine rotation and identify each single wire.

M1300-20

Radial - Force - Sensors out of series M 1100 - 20 and M 1300 - 20 are precise and reliable measuring-systems,
as well high overload-protected as high in long-time-stability.

For measuring tensile forces on running material, fit a ball-bearing mounted roller on the journal-bearing. This measuring-roller has to be mounted in a position, that the material which is measured, will deviated in a defined angle. Here angle of contacts, of the material which is measured - around the measuring roller -, between 3° and 180° are possible.

The resulting radial forces, due to the deviation, are measured by the sensor. The radial force is proportional to the tensile force, in the material which is measured. Corresponding to this radial-force, the nominal load of the sensor is to select.

Application Tensile force measurement on : cables, wires, ropes, rubber-cables, copper-cables, etc.
Sensor for using in Tensometric measuring-stations.

Nominal loads: 30 N, 50 N, 100 N, 200 N, 300 N, or 400 N others on request

Measuring range: By changing the angle of contact - around the measuring-roller -, the measuring range is variable.

Series M 1300 - 20 Strain-gage, full-bridge, with built-in amplifier. The sensor transforms the, on the measuring-roller, active radial force into a proportional electric outputsignal of 0 V up to +10 V .

Adjusting screws for the electrical zero ( Offset ) and for the calibration ( gain ), are accessible from outside, at the connection-cable-page by means of a screw-driver. Connection via 5-pol. male connector.

Accessories available connection-cable, amplifier with or without indication the tensile-forces, rollers.

3-Rollers / Function

- function -

Function:

3 - roller tensile force sensor consist of : one radialforce sensor with fixed mounted material-guidings, which are arranged right and left next to the measuring roller. This guide-rollers ensure a constant angle around the measuring roller.

Guiding the material

The material, which should be measured, run over the sensor and the guiding-elements.

This arrangement is preferably for measurements of high tensile-forces at material having a bigger diameter.
A negligible small deviation of the material is realizable. An alteration of the diameter of the material does not change the angle around the measuring-roller.

The material to be measured run over the sensor and under the guiding elements.

Usual way to guide the material. There is no difference between run-in and run-out for the material which is measured. Advantageous for material which is flexible.
In case the diameter of the material will be changed, either a reproducible measuring-error must be taken into consideration or it needs a new calibration. For measuring stiff material, a higher distance between the two guiding elements is necessary.

The material to be measured is guided under the first guiding-element, over the sensor and the second guiding-element.

A combination of material-guiding A) and B). Especially usable for measurement by hand. It offers an easy threading. Simply turn the sensor.

Most of the 3-roller sensors are executed in a manner, that the customer themselves can adjust the guiding elements like A) B) or C).

Tensile Force Measurement

Measurement of tensile force is a modern method of quality assurance. Tensionmeters reliably and effectively monitor the adherence to optimal values of your production machines. Production errors are minimized, production costs are lowered, the use of material is optimized. Production monitoring cannot be more accurate and more efficient. Tensionmeters monitor tensile forces precisely and reliably. Thus several distributed standard sensors provide 100% monitoring in the production process.
